In 1984 Pete Klee purchased the accounting business of Thomas Hall, PA. He continued the business for a few years doing small accounting preparing tax returns for individuals and small businesses. In 1990 he formed a partnership with Arthur Brickman and continued the business as Klee and Brickman CPA, Mr. Brickman retired in 2004. In 2005 George Peter Klee, CPA LLC was established.
In 2004, Pete formed a separate company called PayIt Payroll, Inc. to provide payroll accounting service in a reliable, responsive and personalized way. His thought was to help our small companies take the fuss out of payroll preparation and provide human resource capabilities.
The Klee Group’s goal is to provide knowledgeable accounting, tax and payroll services in a timely, personable and meaningful manner.

George Peter Klee
Pete graduated from Aquinas Institute in 1950 and St. Bonaventure University in 1955. He was employed by the US Army from 1955 to 1957. He joined Rochester Products as a staff accountant in 1957. He moved to Xerox in 1964 where his duties involved general ledger accounting, project accounting and controller for the maintenance section. From there he graduated to the self-employed. The rest is history.
Pete has been involved in many activities. He was President of the Parish Council and Mens Club at St Boniface; he served as Board Member and Chairman of Catholic Family Center and was a Board member of the Notre Dame Learning Center.
Senior Tax Manager
Since 2003, Chris has been the senior tax manager in the Tax Division. He has experience with domestic companies ranging in size from small to mid-market privately held companies. Besides specializing in state and federal tax planning, he has advised on numerous acquisitions and tax issues involving the IRS. Chris is amazing at developing proactive strategies at corporate, shareholder and owner levels, to minimize his clients’ tax liabilities and maximize their asset growth. He develops and maintains relationships and believes “if they succeed I succeed”. Chris and his wife Cheri have two children and in his free time he enjoys coaching his son’s baseball team or his daughter’s basketball team. Golfing is another one of his passions.

In 2009 after working as a claim examiner for the United States Navy JAG office in Norfolk VA, Mark joined our team. As a retired veteran of the United States Navy, his specialty there was in the finance field providing payroll service, preparing disbursement and collection vouchers, bank reconciliation, and periodic financial reports. Mark specializes in improved office efficiency by eliminating or reducing severances which disrupt production. Mark splits time between Rochester NY and his home office in Suffolk, VA.

Head Payroll Clerk
In 2005 Tom joined the Klee Group. His responsibilities include processing payroll, disability, and workers compensation claims.
Away from work, Tom's hobbies revolve around the bowling alley. He has even achieved a few perfect games! He is also a member of the American Bowling Congress.

In 2009, Mary joined our team, assuming responsibility for general office functions, sales and customer relations. Prior to joining, Ms. Lippa was the Director of Development and Communications at Wilson Commencement Park, a local not-for-profit organization. She also held various positions at the Al Sigl Center and Highland Hospital.
Mary has five children and five grandchildren, and is married to Rod Koziatek, Vice President and CFO of the Al Sigl Community of Agencies. Rod and Mary are also owners of an antique establishment called Sugar Hill Country Barn located in the Southern Tier of New York State.
Mary is a volunteer coordinator for the not for profit group - Ten Ugly Men Inc.

Andrea is a graduate of Monroe Community College with a major in accounting: has a bachelor of Science in education from Fredonia University and Master of Science Education from Brockport.
She has joined our firm as a staff accountant. Her primary duties are to provide bookkeeping expertise, assist clients in setting up Quick Books applications and input and review Income Tax Returns.
Andrea is married to her husband Steve, who is an Enrolled Agent and a Tax Defense Paralegal.
